Procedures

Our procedure is based on the experience that success in our methods is mainly dependant of  the time that is spent with the client to understand and solve specific problems. The investment that is utilised in this way with the client is completely compensated by the time that is saved in the execution of the assignment.

After the initial orientation phase is completed a written analysis of the situation and a description of the assignment follows. These form an integral part of the assignment confirmation. As soon as our proposal has been accepted, we will start the search activities.

During an assignment we keep in contact with our client to keep him fully informed of the developments and our findings. When we have selected a group of viable candidates, we will proceed with gaining references so we can verify our judgments. After this first reference check we will present the first candidates, who we feel fit the best within the profile of the vacancy.

About each candidate we will present a brief confidential summary with personal information, career information and our evaluation why we feel this candidate fits the profile.

When the client decides to recruit a specific candidate we then conduct an extensive reference check of the candidate. These references can be previous employers or previous colleagues.

Our assignment does not end as soon as the candidate has been recruited. We consider it important to keep in touch with the recruited candidate during the first few months after he has been appointed to his position. In addition we also keep in touch with our client in order to receive feedback about how the candidate is functioning in his new environment.

Guarantees

We provide three guarantees in our contracts:

  • Even though we usually will send invoices in the first months of a search assignment, we guarantee that we will continue with the assignment until it is completed to satisfaction.
  • In case the recruited candidate leaves our clients organisation within 12 months after commencing tenure work due to incompetences in relation to the specified position, then we guarantee that we will replace said candidate at no extra fee, with exception of the expenses.
  • If a search assignment is ended, for whatever reason, before the end of the invoicing period, we will adjust our fee accordingly to the time that was spent on the assignment.

Fees, Costs and Invoicing

Our fees are in direct relation to the complexity of the search assignment and usually correspond with one third (1/3) of the gross annual salary, including holiday allowances (excluding bonuses) of the to be recruited candidate.

In addition we also charge expenses to the client, such as telephone and fax costs and travel expenses, these are charged monthly to the client. The expenses usually amounts to 10% of the totally charged fee, depending on the amount of time that is spent on the search activities and required travel expenses.

Nearly all our clients prefer to agree on a fixed fee. We too prefer a fixed fee, thus preventing us having any gain in the level of salary of the to be recruited candidate.

In case of a package character of an assignment (two or more assignments at the same time) we will provide a 10% discount on the fee for the second and 15% on the fee for the third).

 We invoice our fee and expenses per search assignment as follows:

  • one third at the start of the search
  • one third a month after starting the search activities
  • one third after the contract has been signed

 

Responsibilities, Time and Reporting

Responsibilities

No other than the Owners of the bureau themselves are responsible for the actual search itself and are trusted with the prudential assignments.

 
Time

The average time needed for an international search is two to three months before candidate(s) can be presented that fit the profile.

 

Reporting

We attach great value to report to our clients on the process of the procedure and to discuss potential candidates on the telephone. In this way disappointment can be prevented at candidate presentation.
